How to Fish

The basic fishing mechanic in Fish It! is simple:

1. Click to charge up your cast
2. Click as fast as you can! to reel in the fish

As you progress, you'll upgrade your rod, unlock new locations, and discover rare fish with unique mutations.

Your journey begins at Fisherman Island. Fish in the starting waters to catch common fish like Azure Damsel and Ash Basslet.

Sell your early catches at the market. Your first priority should be upgrading from the starter rod.

• Bamboo Rod — affordable first upgrade, good for early game grinding
• Carbon Rod — best for fast catches and early XP grinding
• Save up for better rods as you progress

As you level up and earn coins, unlock access to new islands:

• Classic Island
• Lost Isle
• Kohana Volcano
• Mariana Trench (latest expansion)

Fish It! has a layered RNG system:

• Base Luck — determined by your rod and equipment
• Luck Boosts — from game passes (Small Luck, Extra Luck, Advanced Luck)
• Mutation Chance — rarer fish have special mutations (Bloodlit, Gargantuan, Golden, etc.)
• Shiny Variants — rare color variations of fish

1. Fish at higher-tier locations — Kohana Volcano and Mariana Trench have more valuable fish
2. Invest in Luck game passes — Extra Luck (245 Robux) and Advanced Luck (545 Robux) significantly boost rare catch rates
3. Use the Sell Anywhere game pass (315 Robux) — lets you sell without returning to market
4. Stack mutations — Bloodlit mutation (×80 multiplier) from Blood Moon events is extremely lucrative
5. Trade with other players — Use the trading system to sell rare duplicates

The "Experience" enchantment is the most underrated source of permanent luck in Fish It.

How it works: Your character level grants "Level Luck" — a permanent, uncapped luck bonus that never expires. Unlike potions or server buffs, Level Luck stays forever.

Real Data:

• Level 959 = +143% Bonus Luck
• Level 1000 = +150% Bonus Luck
• Every 41 levels = ~7% permanent luck gain

The Strategy:

1. Early/Mid Game: Enchant your main rod with XPerienced I (1.5x XP, 7% pull chance)
2. Focus entirely on leveling until you reach Level 1200-1500
3. Once high level: Switch to Mutation or Prismatic enchantment for profit
4. The high base luck from levels makes late-game secret fish hunting dramatically easier

Why this works: While other players chase temporary luck boosts, the Experience build compounds — faster leveling → higher Level Luck → easier rare catches → more XP. It's a positive feedback loop.
